    • Enjoy it! This menu is pretty quick and simple and will get you started, but there’s so much great stuff in the book – I hope you love it!

  1. I’ve had the THM book for about a month and quite honestly I can’t really get my head around it. I tried about 5 days ago to sit down and write a week’s menu but didn’t get far so maybe this’ll help get me started

    • It was a pretty steep learning curve for me at first, too! Something like this at first would have been really helpful to me to get started with!

  2. Got the book, was overwhelmed with all the information, so this really helped me to get off on the right foot. I lost 5# on my 1st week. Do you have weekly menu plans I can print?

    • Sorry for such a late response! We had a death in the family and I am just now getting back on track!

Yay for great first week losses! I am trying to get back to posting weekly menus, but I was posting them regularly on Mondays until mid October. They should all be tagged with “menu”

  3. I have been trying the THM eating plan for a little over a month now. I have a very stressful busy life, have health problems and am not home all day long running the family business. My son has been visiting and has been real good to make up some of the recipes (or types) from the book, but to sit down and write up a weekly menu is way beyond my time.
I have been trying for a few months, before hearing about this eating plan, to eat a low glycemic mediterranean diet. It seems similar so this eating plan was nice to find with the ideas on how to eat better than before.
I have lost inches, but very little weight. I have had health issues and could not do regular exercises. I do move around and am not a couch potato.
I still occasionally crave bread, pasta and sweets, but don’t want to mess up the eating plan so I just don’t eat. Also with my stressful life, I don’t always eat and I know that is wrong. Taking time to make special recipes that take time just overwhelm me after a busy day.
I love that you wrote a weekly menu, I will try using some of it to see if it will help me. Maybe after Christmas things might slow enough to learn more that the book and your website has to offer. If I could have foods stocked up that I can eat and will satisfy my appetite it would be great. I’m usually feeling unsatisfied after eating and get pretty frustrated.

I’m so sorry that you have had a tough time, Carol! I too get stressed out and am really busy, so I am always looking for shortcuts and ways to make eating healthy easier. I hope to post some similar menus and items in coming weeks, so stay tuned!

  4. This is SO helpful! Bought the book, was kind of confused-and to see it simplified like this is just fantastic-you included the shopping list and helpful hints as well. This has just made my week!!! :D Looking forward to seeing your other menus as well :) Thank you so much, Missy
