From the Camera:
Pooh enjoyed the Japanese Tea Garden. Oddly enough, This sign appears at its entrance despite it being called the Japanese Tea Garden everywhere else.
P-Daddy rolled his eyes and said “Apparently we all look alike!” But when we got to the Jalisco Grill, he promptly forgot all about it in the midst of a lovely dinner full of MEAT!
We had 2 lifesavers on this trip. One was a double jogging stroller that our hosts graciously loaned us. It made things like the River Walk and Six Flags Fiesta Texas much much easier than they would have been otherwise! Our second lifesaver was this lovely lady, who we took along as our nanny. The boys love her and thought having her along was really wonderful! Since it meant we also got to sleep a little later than normal since she helped take care of mornings, P-Daddy and I also thought bringing her along was a brilliant idea

Menu Plan for the Week
Since we were on vacation this past week, I didn’t really have (or take) as much planning and cooking time this weekend as I normally do. So this is more of a convenience meal plan using items on hand and easy-to-put-together items rather than things that take much prep or effort (or money). And there’s a LOT going on between Foster parenting, starting school soon, and helping host a local THM meet-up, so I’m keeping it simple and having the same meal a couple different times. Meals here are THM coded as E (= Energizing), S (= Satisfying), and FP (= Fuel Pull).
Breakfasts
Steel cut oats with peaches (E, X2)
Fat-free Greek yogurt with berries (FP, X2)
THM pancakes (E, X2)
Breakfast tacos (S with low-carb tortillas)
Lunches
Overnite oats with raspberries (FP, X2)
Lean turkey and Laughing Cow on Deutsche Kuche bread (E, X2)
Tuna on romaine w/ balsamic dressing (FP, X2)
Bean burritos (E)
Dinners
Salmon fillets with green fries (S, X2)
Veggie frittata (S, X2)
Ham and eggs (S, X2)
Beef and cabbage (S)
Snacks
Wasa light rye crackers with Laughing Cow cheese (FP)
Greek yogurt and berries (FP)
Cheesecake berry crunch (S)
Light cheese sticks (FP)
Fat Stripping Frappa (FP)
I’m also linking up to Trim Healthy Tuesday over at Gwen’s Nest and Stacy Makes Cents – come on over and find all kinds of other things to put in your mealplan!
With Hayley starting school this week prepping for my morning before bed has become a life saver for me.
I love his smile over all that meat! Glad y’all had fun. I like the idea of bringing a nanny along.
