Our first cantaloupe!

This year, P-daddy and I decided to try our hand at a little gardening. Many things didn’t work at all. Some things worked okay. A few things really took off. One thing that I think has taken off pretty well is our melon patch. We started it one day when we got a cantaloupe in our co-op box. P-daddy scooped out the seeds, rinsed them a little, and dumped them in a hole on the edge of our garden patch. If you’ve ever grown melons, you know that’s probably not the best way to start them, but it was quick and easy, so we tried it. I posted here about our first little melon bud. It grew and grew, and today, we picked that full-grown melon and enjoyed it!

Pooh loved it too!
